In collaboration with Adam Flannery. No. 506 New is a fully functional 240 point wood type typeface, traced from an original 1800's specimen sheet of William Page's 506 Medium. The specimen sheet was missing some glyphs, such as accents, punctuation and ligatures—so we had to design these from scratch. We also printed our own specimen sheet, and a "protest poster" using the wood type blocks.
